WELLdone: Caring for your WELLbeing, Saturday June 27th

Online Staff and Family Event: Thanking you for all you have done

A day of health and wellbeing for staff and families MC’ed by Deric O’ h’Artagain from TV3.  The day will run  from 10 am to 3pm with an opportunity to link into many stimulating sessions.  The talks will be led by household names who have offered their time to say thanks for all you have done over the past few months. You can join for just one session or all of them – it’s the same link to use so totally up to you in terms of what you would like to participate in.

Sessions to include:

Family exercise session with Rob Heffernan
Rob will be leading a fun exercise session that is suitable for all the family – a great way to start your session.

Gardening with Ballyseedy Garden Centre
Bernie from Ballyseedy will share lots of tips in relation to growing your own veg and keeping your garden in great shape this summer.

Raising Resilient kids with Richard Hogan
Richard will explore how we can better build our children’s resilience in the digital age.

Cook along with Rachel Allen of Ballymaloe Cookery School
Rachel will be doing a simple cook along.  She will make some wonderful simple soup.  We will send out the recipes beforehand so everyone can make sure they have the ingredients and all the equipment to cook along with Rachel. Parenting with Dr. Tony Humphreys
Dr. Humphreys will focus on parenting and the need for parents to self-care.  Being a parent can be challenging and sometimes overwhelming and also bring great joy and fulfilment.  Tony will talk about how all parenting begins with self and he will be encouraging parents to take time to understand themselves with openness and compassion so that they can be good enough parents!
