Riverside Biodiversity and Sensory Garden

Beautiful, user-friendly and themed Riverside Biodiversity and Sensory Garden by the river in Ballineen. 

Open all year round and admission is free. The garden is both wheelchair and age-friendly and great for kids with Willow Room, Tree Sculpture and the Flora and Fauna board to encourage exploration and learning.

The Manch Project

The Irish Natural Forestry Foundation (INFF) established the Manch Project at Manch Estate near Ballineen. Now called the Green Economy Foundation the Education Centre runs a series of nature and wildlife courses for both children and adults and regular open days allow the public to explore up to 15 km of woodland paths. The foundation relies on volunteers to help with projects.  More Info

BEDA Community Centre

Voluntary association organising events and supports at Ballineen and Enniskeane Community Centre. Community Playground and multi use games area beside the community centre. More info at BEDA on facebook.
