What is North Cork Social Prescribing?
Social Prescribing involves a person (over 18 years) meeting one-to-one with a Social Prescriber, to talk about any positive changes they want to make in their lives. Some people avail of the service once, some come for many appointments, and some avail of the service repeatedly over time. Together, the person and the Social Prescriber will talk through the changes the person wants to make, and the chat about community resources that the person might be interested in. This might include joining a social group, taking up a hobby, accessing education or advice, or volunteering in the local area.
