We are delighted to announce the return of the West Cork Feel Good Festival 2021.
The organisers (49 North Street, Skibbereen, The Wellbeing Network, West Cork and Mental Health Engagement, Cork Kerry HSE, working in partnership with community groups and organisations) will hope to inspire people and communities across West Cork to safely engage in activities that connect people and communities and contribute on their wellbeing.
West Cork Feel Good Festival 2021 has been made possible with the support of an Arts Council Capacity Building award to MusicAlive.
Events are either online, or in strict adherence with public health guidelines, with limited spaces and pre-booking required. All events with booking details are listed below.

Mindful Movement session with Patrick Cotter
Mindful Movement focuses upon using movement to maintain health & wellbeing while improving breathing, balance and coordination.
Patrick Cotter is a qualified Tai Chi, Chi Gung and meditation instructor. Patrick has been studying and teaching these mindful movements and practices in Ireland and Europe for over 16 years.

An Afternoon of conversation and song with The Claddagh Rogues & guests
Includes a film screening, musical performances and a panel discussion, hosted by Ballydehob based documentary maker & broadcaster Leeanne O’ Donnell. Singer and mental health advocate, James O’ Flynn will reflect on his extraordinary life. This will include a discussion around the topics of homelessness, mental health and the prison system.

Rob is going to demonstrate and chat through the making of an autumnal soup using beautiful west cork ingredients. Guests will be able to interact with Rob while he cooks, ask questions, taste. Everyone will get a little lunch box with a cup of hot soup, The Chestnut Restaurant signature bread & house made cultured smoked butter along with a sweet treat to take away and enjoy.
Sunday Sustenance’ at Levis’ Corner House
An afternoon of events exploring the relationship between our mental health and the natural environment, including short films and the launch of volume 2 of the Benign and Beautiful book, with poet Pól O Colmáin.
Deirdre McHugh of Skibbereen Family resource centre will host a panel discussion with film maker Aoise Tutty Jackson, musician Kevin McNally and horticulturalist Peter Dunican.
Live musical interludes with Rubicon

Ireland’s best-respected contemporary folk artists, having produced 20 albums since the 1970s. A master interpreter, Bloom has continued to balance original songs with reinventions of tunes by a diverse range of songwriters.
